Sweets for the Occasion
In 1923, Ganong’s Chocolates of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, produced a special one-pound “fancy” box of chocolates, which was decorated with postcard views of Pictou. An example of this rare box is on display at The McCulloch House Museum & Genealogy Centre.
Marven's Biscuits of Moncton, New Brunswick, produced a special tin of Scotia shortbread and Scotch oat cakes.
Hamilton’s Biscuits of Pictou also produced their own commemorative box of chocolates.
