Here is a photo of the maquette of the Hector/Scottish Pioneers Monument, which New Glasgow native John Wilson prepared for the imposing bronze sculpture which stands today in Pictou’s Market Square.

Ship "Hector" artifact

This maquette is in the collection of the Carmichael-Stewart House Museum in New Glasgow, which also has several historical artifacts that came on the ship "Hector" in 1773.
