About the Souvenir Pin
The Pictou Bee Press recently reordered a limited number of Hector pins to mark the relaunch of the replica of the Ship Hector on 12 July 2025.

In 2023, The Pictou Bee Press commissioned this special limited-edition pin to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the arrival of the ship Hector in Pictou, Nova Scotia, in 1773. This handsome souvenir pin is a modified likeness of a medal produced in 1923 to mark the 150th Hector anniversary.
This substantial pin is 1.25 inches in diameter and made of zinc alloy with an antique silver finish. It is held securely by a butterfly clasp and comes with an attractive commemorative bookmark and a swatch of Nova Scotia tartan.
The pins produced in 2023 sold out very quickly.
